What is Unix time?
Unix time counts from 1970-01-01 00:00:00 UTC. An instant is the same worldwide; its local display depends on your device's time zone.
UTC is independent of your device. Local time uses the browser's detected zone and the offset at that instant.
Negative timestamps represent dates before 1970. Leap seconds are not counted.
Local times skipped by daylight saving changes are rejected. For a repeated time, the browser selects the earlier occurrence; use UTC to specify an exact instant.
